Which Form to Use?
For our Committees and Groups (Building & Grounds, Finance, Religious Education, First Thursday Films, Red Tent, etc.) the form to be used for a regular meeting is our Church Group Usage Form. This contains the information necessary for our Office Administrator to schedule it on the physical calendar (in the entry way) and on our online calendar. Once scheduled, if you need to change the date, time or location, please fill out a second form indicating that it is an updated form.
For outside groups that meet at UUCJ regularly (Gender Explorers, Scouts, AA, etc) and for special events like piano recitals, or local groups with a specific cause - Pride Awareness, CAAN, etc., you would use the basic Building Use Form. This form triggers things that are specific to outside usage - rental charges if they apply, the use of the kitchen, the grounds, or a sound person. It also ensures that someone will be available to open and close the building for the group.
If you are a member and wish to use the building for a family event - graduation, anniversary, birthday party then please use the Building Use Form.
And for Celebrations of Life (weddings, funerals, commitment ceremonies, etc.) please also use the Building Use Form.
All of these forms are available through the office and available in a pocket in the entryway near the physical calendar. Please remember that all Building Use requests need to be approved and also the appropriate people (sound, kitchen and someone to provide access and lock up the building) need to be confirmed.
